An engineer, a builder, and a rare all-rounder

Peter Gichoya is the founder and driving force of Cowrietech — and one of the few technologists in the region to pair deep software engineering with formal credentials in project management (PMP), information security (CISSP) and accountancy (ACCA), while reading for an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

That unusual combination is the company's edge. Peter doesn't just write code — he understands the finance it has to get right, the security it has to withstand, and the projects it has to deliver. Over a decade he has personally architected ERP, FinTech and LegalTech systems for Kenyan organisations, and that hands-on rigour runs through every Cowrietech product and engagement.

• Founded Cowrietech and architected the 15-product SingularERP suite and the MobileUza marketplace — locally-built software now serving 15+ cloud clients across Kenya.
• Designed and deployed bespoke ERP platforms handling complex financial and inventory workflows, with 99.9% uptime, role-based access control and full audit logging.
• Built field-grade mobile revenue-collection systems (Java → Kotlin) with offline capability and handheld POS integration for on-site payment and printing.
